On day 2 at Cardigan, there were many strong examples for movement. Firstly, us walking up Cardigan and Firescrew mountain, we moved up the mountains, and eventually back down. Another example is the trail cairns. This is an example of movement of an idea. This idea originally started in Ireland, because the people who lived there could not see where they were walking because of the thick fog. Also, the fire on the peaks of Cardigan and Firescrew. About 150 years ago there was a forest fire that took all the trees and all the topsoil right off of both of those peaks, and it still mostly is that way. Lastly, on the way up to Firescrew there was a quartz rock. This rock got there because it was frozen in glaciers many, many years ago. Then, the glaciers melted and they left the quartz on Mt Firescrew.
